The third-generation of Dievas Maya lineup comes in the perfect size for today's watch lovers. Without compromising its look and build, the Maya MK III comes in at 40.5mm wide, 13.8mm thick, and 49mm lug to lug.

Using a combination of sandwich dial work and raised markers, the multi-layered dial is the other highlight of this watch. For the first time, Dievas incorporated a mix of techniques in the design of the dial markers. The arabic numerals alongside the 12 o'clock triangle marker are raised and applied with SuperLuminova. While the remaining hour plots are cut out, allowing the luminous from the underside to glow through.

The Maya MK III Pro with its blue fumé dial is indeed a refreshing unique design that makes a fine example of quirkiness in classic German watchmaking. The gradual effect graduates darker towards black when reaching the circumference of the dial, distilling a nice smokey aesthetic.

On the exterior, the case is re-engineered to present a slimmer profile. This update from the previous generation allows the watch up to 36% more contact with the wrist, sitting flatter on the wrist. Together with the slimmer profile, Dievas added curved lugs, allowing the watch to flow and wrap around the wrist.

Together, the Maya MK III Pro Blue is made for a better and more comfortable fit. Last but not least, the crown is engraved with the Dievas logo and redesigned for a smoother crown operation.

Ticking away in the heart of the Maya MK III Pro is the ever-so-reliable and proven Swiss Made SW200-1, modified to Dievas specifications. Each watch is adjusted to its maximum efficiency for accuracy.

Automatic helium escape valve on the side of its robust case

Made entirely in Germany, the all-new Maya's multi-pieced watch case is fabricated using the latest of 6-axis CNC machine; it is then finished and polished by experienced hands on site. This dedication in production can be clearly seen through its well-defined lines, perfectly finished edges, and beaming lustre. The watch case is then sand blasted to give it a matte finish to complete its tool looks. 

Complying with the designation of a robust utility watch, the all-new Maya is upgraded with a sturdy, and precise 120-click black bezel with 30 sized-grooves for easy manipulation. The ceramic bezel insert is sandblasted to match the case.

The clear-cut proportions are an expression of both the strength and power of the case. In addition, the bezel can be removed without compromising on the water resistance by loosening four screws on the side of the bezel. If you are in the mood, you can choose from the several bezel options, from vivid, single tone colors to and bitone colors, it is that easy to create your own look.

Superluminova

Such a high-caliber case is an essential ingredient in fabricating a strong foundation before undergoing advanced metallurgy treatment. Dievas treated the case to a hardening DLC treatment. More than a tactical blackout look, the steel undergoes high-tech coating procedures to amplify the hardness of the watch case to approximately 1200HV. This coating greatly improves scratch and corrosion resistance. This meticulous process is executed to every part of the watch, including its bezel, crown, bracelet and clasp.

The engineering is further extended to its water-resistant capability. With a thick extra clear sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a robust case back, the watch is water resistant to at least 1000m/3000feet. Each watch is individually tested. It is also equipped with an automatic Helium Escape Valve (HEV) to aid compression on your diving trips.

Matching steel bracelet for the first time

Another significant attribute of the Maya Mk III is its metal bracelet finished with the same DLC treatment. The H-link style metal bracelet is finished in the same sand-blasted finishing as the rest of the watch. The bracelet certainly solidifies the overall build of the watch. Dievas designed each link to be easily removed thanks to its screw-link design. Strapping it on through its extendable clasp, the Maya wears like a perfect daily beater with its aesthetics on top of its 40.5mm sizing. The bracelet can also be easily removed, allowing you to throw different types of straps on it. Those who have worn a Maya before would know that this strap monster can be a beauty on a wide array of straps. Oh, and this particular Pro series comes with an additional matching dark blue rubber strap with accompanying DLC treated buckle.
