The Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military - New is a very well built divers watch from Steinhart. Made in Switzerland and powered by a Swiss Made ETA 2824-2/SW 200, élaboré automatic movement, this watch is set to amaze. Simple and elegant.
The Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military - Newis made to the highest of Swiss standard. The case of the Steinhart OVM is made from 316L stainless steel. Features a satin brushed finish on the top of the lugs and polished sides of the case. This finishing follows through the stainless steel bracelet. The 42mm case is has a 49mm from lug-to-lug dimensions making this quite comfortable on most wrist sizes.
The bezel on the OVM is a homage to the military watch the british military issued in the 1970s and has full markings that goes around the bezel. With a luminous pip at the 12 o'clock position. The knurling on the side of the bezel is deep and clean. This helps in getting a good grip on the bezel for easy bezel operation. The 120 clicks bezel clicks positively into position.
The Steinhart signed 6.5mm screw-down crown is located at 3 O'clock and is good for a water resistant rating of 300m. The Ocean Vintage Military comes with the new softer domed sapphire crystal with inner anti-reflective coating for added clarity under different lighting conditions.
The dial on the Ocean Vintage Military is matte black with printed hour markers that are filled with old radium looking Superluinova. Similar SuperLuminova luminous is applied as well to minute, hour and second hands.
The watch comes with a satin brushed stainless steel bracelet with screw links and fliplock. The Ocean Vintage Military - New has a bracelet that tapers from 22mm to 18mm, staying true to the 1960s model it pays tribute to.

This was before not achievable until Steinhart arrived and also probably the reason why Steinhart has quite a huge following although only been around for only 15 years.
