| Glycine Combat SUB 42 Bronze Vintage Green Ref. GL0482 |
The Glycine's combat line has stood out for their athletic design and impressive reliability. Presenting the newest addition to the collection, Glycine Combat SUB 42 Vintage Bronze Green GL0482, a bronze twist to the Combat vintage diver crafted by Glycine, immensely popular for sports and in the military.
The Combat SUB 42 Vintage Bronze Green is made from marine grade bronze material, CuSn8. With wear, bronze creates a patina over time unique only to the owner. It measures at 42mm and 10.6mm thin for unsurpassed comfort on all wrist sizes. The short lugs to lugs length of 49mm together with the unique downward curving lugs meant the watch wraps around the wrist like a pair of gloves.

Finished with a full satin-brush, this watch sports a unidirectional rotating bezel with a gilt-tone aluminium insert and a screw-down crown at 3 o'clock which works more smoothly due to a larger screw tube used. This signed bronze crown and its steel screwed case back engraved with essential information that characterises this timepiece are responsible for the Combat Vintage's impressive water resistance of 200m.
Admire its matte green dial complemented by its green bezel. This grain-textured dial is also fitted with a red date window at 4 o'clock, matching the "SUB 20 ATM" text as well as the bezel's triangle pip beautifully. Furthermore, its rose gold signature diver handset, Arabic dial indexes and pip located at 12 o'clock are painted with light radium brown Super-LumiNova which glows green in the dark.
Powered by a GL224 Swiss automatic movement based on either the ETA 2824-2 or SW200-1 which operates at 28,800 bph (4 Hertz) with hacking and hand winding capabilities, the Combat Vintage Green is built with 25 jewels and a power reserve of 38 hours. This timepiece also features a flat sapphire crystal with three layers of anti-reflective coating on its underside for greater legibility under any lighting conditions.

To top it off, this watch comes with a 22mm Glycine signed vintage green calf leather strap and a matching satin-brushed bronze buckle. Entirely hand finished and made in Switzerland, this breath-taking timepiece is the epitome of a reliable vintage diver crafted by Glycine.
Overall, the Glycine Combat SUB 42 Vintage Bronze Green exhibits very great value given the history and built of the watch. We love the use of CuSn8 for the case and bezel. And not to mention the unique vintage dial with matching gold details in the dial. The contemporary size with unique curved lugs makes this watch ultra comfortable on many wrists. The unique Glycine look and the sapphire makes this an exceptional bargain and hard to beat. The Combat SUB definitely fits Glycine's philosophy that Mr Eugène Meylan set out in 1914.
