Since accurate timekeeping is essential in motorsport, watches and car racing naturally go hand in hand. The watch was once the most valuable tool for those involved in or interested in motorsports. The racing watch collection, inspired by the spirit of a bygone age, adds elegance and edge to a practical basis. As a consequence, a timepiece that is both sporty and timeless has been developed.
Steinhart Le Mans GT Automatic
The Steinhart Le Mans GT Automatic is the brand's newest motorsports-inspired timepiece. This racing watch is made in Switzerland and is operated by a Swiss-made ETA 2824-2/SW 200, élaboré automatic movement.
Since 1923, the '24 heures du Mans' has been held near the French town of Le Mans. These 24-hour endurance races have always served as a yearly proving ground for car manufacturers from all over the world to demonstrate their level of production and vehicle dependability.
Case
The case of the Steinhart Le Mans GT Heritage Chronograph is one we've seen before, as it's used in some of Steinhart's Aviation timepieces. With slightly curved 44mm by 44mm diameters and 22mm lugs, the Aviation Automatic and Aviation Chronograph share the same case. It's curious how Steinhart uses the same case in two different types of watches, with only the dials distinguishing the two looks. The case back of the Le Mans is transparent, but has a red tint that matches the dial stripe. Both the front and back crystals are sapphire, and the racing watch has a 5 ATM water resistance rating (50 meters).
Bezel
The new Steinhart Le Mans GT pays tribute to the iconic racing series' adventurous drivers and technical marvels, as well as demonstrating how the STEINHART brand has progressed since its inception. The dual-layer dial with the look of a sports wheel made of genuine carbon fiber, the black bezel with the distinctively sporty lettering, the hour and minute hands reminiscent of historical sports steering wheels, the second hand in the form of a speedometer needle, and so on and so forth, all scream "motor sports."
Hands and Movement
The racing watch's hands, like the case, have a racing-inspired feel to them, but they are not new. Silver hands taper from thick to thin as they stretch outwards from the base. Both the hour and minute hands have cutout circles that are reminiscent of the rally style strap that adorns the racing watch. To provide low-light legibility, the hands have a silver of lume at the tip of each palm. As previously reported, Steinhart used the hands in their Le Mans GT Chronograph, which has a similar name but a different case and an ETA 7750 movement.
The specific Swiss mechanics inside the STEINHART Le Mans GT are secured by an elaborately built case, which is held tightly on the wrist by a rubber strap - and not only by race drivers. Even if you're not a fan of motor sports, you'll want to take a closer look at this intricate timepiece!

Dievas Timeattack
Case
The Timeattack is housed in a steel case that measures 43mm in width. It resembles many of Dievas Vortex's watch cases and blends in well with the brand. You may argue that the case resembles the Vortex case almost too closely. The rotating bezel is attractive, and it has a retro feel to it. I've always liked the look of steel cases with mostly black bezels. Is there something special about this bezel? It does, however, have hour markers rather than minute markers. Does this imply that it can count up to 12 hours rather than 60 minutes?
Dial
The dial has a lot of charm. The subdial hands and dials themselves have a nice design. They have a kind of 1970s vibe about them, which I like. The subdial hands are proportional and funky, while the main dial hands are a bit short and aviator in nature. It's also curious how the chronograph subdials take up the majority of the dial's focus, but reading the time is still fairly straightforward.
Movement
Your pleasant neighborhood Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement is found within the Dievas Timeattack. Dievas claims to use a top-of-the-line 7750 in there and to regulate it. Overall, it's a good racing watch, and even though it's on the pricey side for a Dievas, it's still a good deal at $1,790.00 USD.

Yema Speedgraf x Klokkeriet
With its new racing watch, the handsome and reasonably priced Speedgraf, the French brand Yema continues to revive iconic vintage models from the 1960s and 1970s. This is a modern reinterpretation of a watch known as the Yema Daytona from the mid-'60s, featuring a new version of Seiko's still uncommon automatic chronograph movement. Once again, the brand has nailed the "vintage" look.
Dial
What's not to like about a "panda dial" (black subdials on a white main dial), a sporty, retro aesthetic, and a highly wearable diameter of 39mm wide? With a screw-down crown and sturdy case back, the stainless steel case is water-resistant to 100 meters.
Movement
The NE86 movement is one of the most intriguing aspects of the modern Speedgraf. It's a new version of the NE88 automatic chronograph movement (introduced in 2014) with features including a column wheel and vertical clutch that enthusiasts like. The biggest difference between the NE86 and the NE88 is that the newer NE86 does away with the chronograph's hour counter in favor of a simpler, more retro look with only two subdials. The movement has a date, but Yema has chosen to skip it in favor of the Speedgraf, which is another popular option among fans.
Case
The NE86, on the other hand, does not seem to have a slimmer case or any other noticeable advantages, as its dimensions remain unchanged from the NE88. Chronographs, particularly automatic ones, are notoriously thick, and the Speedgraf is no exception, measuring 15.5mm thick (including the domed sapphire crystal, which is shaped to resemble the acrylic crystals of vintage watches). Running seconds at 9 o'clock, chronograph minutes at 3 o'clock, and a minimum 45-hour power reserve are all features of the Yema Speedgraf's movement.
For the chronograph, the Speedgraf dial also has a tachymeter scale and a telemeter scale — none of which you'll actually use, but which don't get in the way and give the racing watch some vintage cred. The bezel rotates in both directions and has an aluminum insert with a 60-minute scale. To highlight its motorsport-related intent, it comes with a “rallye-style” leather strap (perforated with wide holes).
