Japan is known for many things, perhaps one of the most widely recognised for its technological innovations. In the world of watches, Japanese watchmakers are widely known to excel in integrating modern technologies and meticulous craftsmanship to their watches, proving to be a serious competitor against the Swiss. Since 1950, Orient has been one of the most prominent watchmakers in Japan, producing mechanical in-house movements and high quality watches that pack incredible value. Joining the Seiko Epson group in the early 2000s, Orient continued to strive in producing a wide array of options ranging from divers to dress watches.
Orient Star features Orient’s luxury line of JDM watches, offering their most premium and most eminent watches among their brand. Distinguished by the beautifully finished movements and refined designs, Orient Star focuses primarily on three main categories: Classic, Sports and Contemporary, each having their own unique design element and characteristics.

This high polish finish contrasts especially well with the satin brushed finish on the side of the case. Having a case diameter of 40.5mm, 12.3mm thin and a lug to lug distance of 46.5mm, the watch has a delicate size that fits most wrist sizes. Moreover, the lugs curve downwards gently, allowing the watch to hug the wrist comfortably. The watch is water resistant up to 30m (3 bar), making it perfect for everyday use.
The centerpiece of this Orient is, without a doubt, its magnificent dial. Beneath the domed crystal lies a serene green with a subtle fumé effect, radiating from a vibrant center to a deep, shadowed perimeter. The dial features a classic pie-pan geometry, curving elegantly toward the edges to create a sense of vintage depth. Polished applied indices and faceted hands catch the light with every movement, while a minimalist minute track along the rehaut anchors the design. With a discreet date complication at 3 o'clock, every detail works in harmony to celebrate a refined, mid-century aesthetic.

The Orient Mechanical Classic & Simple Style Green comes on a 21mm crocodile textured leather strap that has a smooth surface and brown stitching, complimenting vintage dressy aesthetic of the case. The strap is fitted with an ever reliable Orient signed buckle to strap the watch securely on the wrist.
