DK36 - Rubber

The Damasko DK36 is the latest offering after the classic DA36 collection. The DK36 follows much of Damasko's styling trademark, large and legible markers, bold sword hands and the now familiar crosshair in the center of the dial. But this is where the similarity ends.

The Damasko DK30’s watch case is made in-house by Damasko and is the second model after the DA30s to be using what Damasko Ice-hardened stainless steel. The unique case treatment is now synonymous with Damasko. The case uses the Damasko system which is CAD/CNC designed and engineered. The watch case is made in-house by Damasko and features the industry's toughest material yet. The material is called "ice-hardened, nickel-free stainless steel". What is so unique about this steel is that they are absolutely nickel-free, offer a good corrosion resistance, and can be tempered up to 64 HRC/800Vickers which is four times the hardness of every other steel currently used in the watch industry. And this ice-hardened steel is used for the entire case, and crown.

Damasko DK36 - Rubber with Submarine Steel
The proprietary steel is a high strength alloy steel and used extensively in the construction of German military and hospital gears.  Furthermore, the case is further treated with DAMEST coating, combining the three qualities of extreme strength, scratch resistance and flexibility together as optimally as possible for the longevity of the watch and its resistance to scratches. Thus the ice-tempered stainless steel constitutes a stable, shock-resistant background. At the same time, the combination of carrier material and casing in a multi-level structure ensures for a special kind of elasticity, which can compensate for knocks up to a certain point.

The case design is water resistant to 100m. Measuring in at 40mm case without the crown, a lug to lug length of 48.6mm, and a height of just under 12.3mm, with a lug width of 20mm. The curved lugs helps in the ergonomics of the case making it extremely comfortable on all wrist sizes, ladies & men.

German Precision
A flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides ensure maximum readability regardless of lighting conditions. And for those who love strap swapping, the DS30 has drilled through lugs for easy springbar removal. Crown is also equipped with Damasko's patented ice-hardened steel which ensures a smooth action and lubricates the shaft and the gasket.

Next the dial, is the same design language employed on the DA30s. The same matte black dial and crosshair that is now synonymous with Damasko, with a different plot design. A small day/date aperture at 3 with black background for continuity. What is worth mentioning here is probably the day/date disc which is custom made by Damasko. The letters and numbers are printed in the same white colour like on the hour markers.

Thin profile with curved lugs for added comfort
The main highlight of the DK36 is undoubtedly its latest introduction of Damasko’s impressive in-house movement. Driven by the in-house Damasko calibre A26-2 German-made automatic movement, the 20-jewel movement features a power reserve of 42 hours and a beat rate of 28,800 beats per hour.

Moreover, the movement is certified to be shockproof and anti-magnetic in accordance with the DIN 8308 and 8309 standards of the Deutsches Institut für Normung - German Institute for Standardization. Adjusted in 5 positions by Damasko to achieve a high level of accuracy, this latest in-house movement is truly spectacular. For a clear view of the A26-2 movement, the see-through exhibition case back displays Damasko’s custom-signed rotor, complete with decorative blue screws.

SuperLuminova index for night legibility
The DK36 comes with a 20mm black rubber strap, bringing a sporty touch to complement this amazing timepiece without neglecting its durability.

With Damasko’s latest implementation of their very own in-house calibre in their DK36 collection, this elevates the brand to even greater heights, further embodying the precision in manufacturing the German is best known for while presenting a complete package with a formidable exterior and a mighty in-house engine.
