Founded in 2017, ATOWAK initially emerged as a watch manufacturer, specializing in aiding microbrands in the creation of mechanical watches. With a decade of experience in watch design and development within the mechanical watch industry, ATOWAK mastered a flexible chain of watch components—from movements and cases to straps, dials, hands, and various accessories. This expertise laid the foundation for crafting truly distinctive timepieces.
The origin of "ATOWAK" finds inspiration in the Caesar Cipher, a simple encryption method. In this encryption, each letter of the word is replaced by another letter several positions down. "ATOWAK" itself is a Caesar Cipher for the word "UNIQUE" when shifted by 6 letters.

The brand possess an unyielding passion for precision machinery, where hundreds of delicate parts intricately come together. Our teams tirelessly explore countless avenues to create unique structures, overcoming every obstacle to bring forth marvelously intricate complications.
The all new ATOWAK Cobra Royal Blue introduces a distinctive element with its unique revolving satellite hour wheel. The hour indicators, situated on three wheel arms, undergo a 120˚ rotation at a time, seamlessly transitioning between four sides to effectively display the 12 hours of each day. Crowned with a faceted silver crown at the top, the passage of time takes on a captivating and enigmatic quality, resembling the sinuous movement of a black serpent. The design is not only mysterious but also exudes a bold and dangerous allure, encapsulating the essence of the timepiece.
The Royal Blue’s case made out of 316L stainless steel, measuring a case width of 43mm, lugs-to-lugs of 53mm, and only 16.2mm in height. The whole case doesn’t feel overwhelming on the wrist as compored to many other steampunk designed timepieces in its market.

True to its name, the Cobra is meticulously crafted to mimic the silhouette of a hooded cobra's head when viewed from above. The broad, vaguely trapezoidal outline exudes a sense of stylized, serpentine power, capturing the essence of this evocative design concept. Notably, the broad carbon fiber inserts positioned at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock play a crucial role in enhancing this illusion. These inserts visually delineate the Cobra's "hood" from its "head," contributing to a dynamic and aggressive aesthetic that infuses the timepiece with a captivating and spirited allure.
The case features a captivating interplay of brushed and polished facets, strategically breaking up the futuristic geometric form on the wrist. While the finishing may not reach the pinnacle of craftsmanship, it is executed with precision, allowing the otherworldly shape to radiate its unique charm.
The most audacious elements of the Cobra design are undoubtedly the dual sapphire crystals. Dominating the lower half of the case, a seven-sided sloping crystal showcases the primary timekeeping elements, while a smaller display window near 12 o'clock frames the brand's logo and offers a closer view of the satellite hours mechanism in action.

Adding to the “window” theme, ATOWAK incorporates a small elliptical sapphire display window on the case-back, offering a glimpse of the movement within. This dual-crystal design contributes to the Cobra’s overall aesthetic appeal, creating a timepiece that seamlessly merges innovation with visual allure.
While every aspect of the case design is undeniably eye-catching, the blue semi-skeletonized dial stands out as the heart and soul of the ATOWAK Cobra. Central to the dial's composition is the satellite hours layout, a common feature in many distinctive timepieces. In the Cobra, the timekeeping functions find their place within a dedicated third of the dial, specifically between 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock. An assertive and easily legible two-layer minutes scale takes center stage, not only keeping precise track of the current time but also injecting a modern flair into the layout.
The graphic outer scale, coupled with sleek Arabic minutes numerals, imparts a sporty and contemporary personality to the overall aesthetic, solidifying the Cobra’s status as a visually captivating and dynamic timepiece.
It employs a sophisticated variation of the fundamental satellite hours complication in the Cobra series. Each of the three centrally mounted satellite arms is equipped with a revolving block to display the current numerical hour, introducing a complex and innovative element to the timekeeping mechanism. This intricate design enhances not only the functionality but also the visual appeal of the watch, contributing to the unique and captivating character of the Cobra series.

Continuing the visual theme, ATOWAK extends the design narrative to the satellite arms, capping them with razor-sharp polished needle hands that endow the Cobra with a distinctly lethal appearance, reminiscent of menacing fangs. These hands, poised above the intricate mechanical details, contribute to the overall fierceness of the timepiece. Beneath this striking display, the main dial surface is adorned with a ripple-textured matte blue finish, introducing a compelling visual depth to the overall layout. This attention to detail not only enhances the watch's aesthetics but also reinforces the Cobra Royal Blue thematic cohesion and dynamic presence on the wrist.
The ATOWAK Cobra derives its power from a significantly modified version of the well-known Miyota 9039 automatic movement. While sharing much of its architecture with the commonplace Miyota 9015, the 9039 nestled within the watch is remarkably cost-effective for a timepiece with such intricate complications. This affordability, coupled with its reliance on established and widely recognized movement components, suggests that the Cobra should be comparatively straightforward and cost-effective to service over time, especially when contrasted with its in-house exotic counterparts.
These exotic enhancements, the performance of the timepiece remains largely consistent with more conventional Miyota 9039 movements. This includes a 38-hour power reserve and a beat rate of 28,800 bph, highlighting a balance between innovative design features and reliable functionality in line with industry standards.

To finalize the Cobra, ATOWAK provides a padded blue leather strap, delivering a robust and appealing aesthetic on the wrist. Noteworthy are the contoured padding segments that seamlessly extend the distinctive lines of the Cobra's unconventional quick-release central hooded lugs, creating a cohesive and visually striking ensemble. This attention to detail in the strap design not only ensures a comfortable fit but also enhances the overall harmony between the timepiece and its accompanying accessories, contributing to the Cobra’s distinctive and well-thought-out presentation.
With a truly spectacular complication seamlessly integrated into its futuristic serpentine design, the 500 pieces limited ATOWAK Cobra Royal Blue stands out as a testament to the arrival of affordable exotic complications in the watchmaking industry. The marriage of innovative design and a remarkably modest price point makes this timepiece a compelling example of accessibility in high-end complications. The Cobra not only pushes boundaries in terms of its captivating aesthetics but also challenges conventional notions about the attainability of sophisticated horological features, marking a noteworthy milestone in the era of affordable luxury timepieces.
