Squale 30 ATMOS Ref.1545 Tropic

This Gnomon-exclusive collection preserves Squale’s long history of producing quality dive watches while adding a modern touch with its upgrades in design and materials. This range features a brand new case design and new and exciting colours, coupled with popular unisex design features inspired by Squale’s heritage divers watches from the 60s.

Applied vintage hour markers

A well-used dive watch never hesitates to proudly display its signs of time. Those signs are a testament to the trips and adventures it took with you, a treasure chest of memories it holds with you. In the Squale 30 Atmos Ref. 1545 Tropic, we mimic the signs of time on the two-toned bezel as a tribute to Squale's distinguished history of dive watchmaking. In the past, well-used dive watches with black bezels would develop a bluish tint over time. With further use and time spent under the sun, the blue ages into a unique shade of green. We love the idea of growing old with our watches, especially one that CAN grow old with us, so we adopted these colours on the Gnomon-exclusive Squale 30 Atmos Ref. 1545 Tropic.

The blue-green-toned ceramic bezel is engraved with white markers and polished to a high gloss. Not just for aesthetics but also to keep the watch from scratches. You will have a secured grip with the grooved ridges by the side, so you can smoothly rotate the bezel into 120 positions counterclockwise. When set against the matte black dial, the watch emanates a nostalgic feel. This is especially so with the vintage radium SuperLuminova applied on all the markers. Watch as it turns into a luminous green under low light.

No Nonsense two-tone ceramic bezel

Designed for ease of time reading, the Squale 30 Atmos Ref. 1545 Tropic is fitted with a flat sapphire crystal and anti-reflection coating. Within, circular and trapezoid markers are applied around the dial. The trapezoid markers are found at the 6,9, and 12 positions, leaving the rest circular, except for the 3 o'clock position where the date sits. To the side is the oversized winding crown that resembles the "Big Crown" from the 60s.

This 40mm stainless steel case is newly designed to bring back the sophistication of Squale's classic dive watches. With its screw-in case back, the watch is water-resistant to a depth of 300 metres. At only 11.5mm thick, the watch appears to have more depth, thanks to its mixed polishing techniques- satin polish on the top surfaces and mirror polish on the sides.

Superluminova applied on bezel, hour markers & hands

The trusted automatic ETA 2824-2/SW200 movement, made in Switzerland, powers the Squale 30 Atmos Ref. 1545 Tropic. Not only does it come with a 38-hour power reserve, but it also beats at 28,800 BPH, complete with hacking and hand-winding abilities. It measures 47mm lug-to-lug and fits a 20mm diver watch bracelet. The tri-fold clasp on the bracelet has a handy diver's extension for easy wearing while you're out on your adventures.
