Oris Watches
In 1904 at Hölstein Paul Cattin and Georges Christian establish the Oris watch factory. Both come from the watch making capital Le Locle in the Swiss Jurassic region. Starting with just 24 workmen, they take over the recently closed down watch firm Lohner & Co. Oris is the name of a brook and a valley close to Hölstein in the north-western part of Switzerland.
Over 100 years Oris has been making watches in Switzerland. Our watches are purely mechanical and are marked out by their distinctive design as well as the red rotor, the symbol of Oris mechanicals. Oris watches are also popular, as celebrities from Formula One, diving, jazz and aviation queue up to wear and support our unique creations.
Oris only produces mechanical watches. Not a single battery-powered watch leaves our workshops. The symbol of Oris mechanicals is the red rotor – it̕s a sign of the natural power that fuels our watches, and a registered trademark. Oris has been manufacturing watches in the village of Hölstein in the Jura Mountains since 1904, without interruption. We have always made mechanical watches.
Oris watches are manufactured by Swiss craftsmen and have passed rigorous quality control tests before they leave our workshops in Hölstein. They̕re made for everyday wear and, on signing up to MyOris, come with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Oris offers the luxury of common sense. That means we offer our customers the best possible watch for the money, using useful complications and functional designs.
Oris is one of the few Swiss watch companies to remain independent and run by its owners.
We have more Oris Watches in stock but are not listed on our website yet.
