The wait is over. American Classic Intra-Matic Chronograph H Black - Leather Ref. H3842973 is finally improved to the calibre H-51 and hits so many vintage looks. Based on ETA 7753, the brand introduced the H-51 hand-wound mechanical chronograph movement to commemorate the fundamental principles in watchmaking. The power reserve has been extended up to 60 hours and beats at 28,800 per hour. It is more perfect with 27 jewels inside to reduce friction and increase accuracy.

Carrying a nostalgic atmosphere, today’s chronograph H reissues the golden era of sports chronograph. It is based on chronograph B from 1968 that was used in the limited edition American Classic Intra Matic Chrono 68, getting so much interest by watch enthusiasts.

Remaining the consistency of the Intra-Matic line, the case back is fully polished to the top and engraved with the Hamilton logo. It all came in a pleasant dimensions of 40 mm diameter case, 14.3 mm height, and overall lug to lug length with a 49 mm. Relatively slimmer than the former, the new case constructed with 316L stainless steel is considered to be a mid-case. No regret, the watch sits proportionally on my wrist and gives me such clear reflections, thanks to the dual layer of anti-reflective protection under the boxed sapphire crystal. 

The watch doesn't have a screw down crown, but still offers you a 100 meter water resistance in the push-pull crown. A good best friend to have for your low water activities. For the chronograph itself, you can control the two buttons with pump style pushers next to the crown. Very easy to use and precise for the stopwatch function.

Hamilton recalled the signature reverse panda dial which is done in contrasting colour: deep black on the dial and white for the two sub dials. The minute and hour hand got thin pencil style, while the markers were designed in baton indexes. For the high visibility through the nighttime, all of them are treated with Super-LumiNova, shining instantaneously in brilliant green.

According to its theme, American classic black, the bracelet is done in black leather. Suitable for both sporty or dressier look. Khaki Field Auto Chronograph Ref. H71616535

Another Hamilton chronograph watches collection you should give a try is Khaki Field Auto Chronograph Ref. H71616535. The legendary Khaki Field Automatic is known as a military watch, but here Hamilton offers an unexpected thing -putting a chronograph inside to measure elapsed time.

The timepiece I wore has a 42 mm diameter case, 14.5 mm thickness, and 50 mm lug to lug distance, such an approachably size to any wide range of wrist. It is well-built in a stainless steel case for every rough person. The top lugs and the side of the case finished with a horizontal and vertical satin brushed, while the bezel is highly polished. All those combinations make me truly satisfied.

The same as the series above, this wristwatch is using a push-in crown type with a 100 meter water resistance. You should also not forget that the two chronograph pushers are located next to the crown, at 2 and 4 o’clock. All pushers allow you to set up the stopwatch function.

Speaking about my most favorite part of this timepiece, under the sapphire crystal you can directly find the main dial and sub dial which are done in black, symbolizing a 1970’s military chronograph. Two sub dials come in a horizontal way, at the top and at the bottom, featuring classic Arabic numerals for the markers. Further, I adore the shape of the hands in syringe style, bringing more accents to a vintage wristwatch. The use of SuperLuminova still remains in this series.

This one of Hamilton chronograph watches is handled by Swiss made caliber H-21 which is based on ETA 7750 movement. Featuring 25 jewels that has a beat rate approximately 28,800 per hour, I love how the power reserve is extended to 60 hours while the regular one only has 42 hours in the same ETA 7750.
