Created by Henry Louis Belmont, a graduate from the National Watchmaking School of Besancon, YEMA was founded in 1948 and has been producing fine quality watches since. Along with some household names in the field of watchmaking, YEMA has concentrated on producing mostly emblematic and mechanical timepieces, including sports divers for pilots, racing drivers and underwater divers. Its repertoire includes reviving the YEMA Superman, commonly touted as France's legendary dive watch.
Introduced in 1963, the Superman took the dive watch community by storm with its outstanding 300m water-resistance and idiosyncratic bezel-lock device. Today, we introduce the revamped and upgraded Yema Superman CMM.10 Black 39mm Ref. 11.13.66.SN.M2. "CMM" which stands for Calibre Manufacture Morteau, meaning the movement is developed in-house by YEMA themselves.

Yema Superman Dato CMM.10 Blue/White 39mm
The iconic Superman case has been carefully reimagined with a more streamlined profile. Measuring 39.5mm in diameter, 47mm lug-to-lug, and 11.85mm in thickness, the updated case features a clean, crown-guard-free design for a purer, more symmetrical silhouette. The finishing combines an elegant vertical brushed surface with polished chamfers.
A major visual shift comes from the integration of the signature bezel-lock mechanism, now cleverly concealed beneath the bezel. By subtly hiding this historic feature, the case gains a streamlined look, offering a minimalist, modern edge while preserving its technical uniqueness. Furthermore, the previously straight lugs have given way to a gently curved profile, offering a more ergonomic fit on the wrist and a touch of timeless elegance. The non-drilled lugs further enhance the watch's modern appeal, resulting in a smoother, more refined case flank.

Ceramic bezel & "Push-to-unlock" bezel-lock mechanism
The watch is now fitted with a zirconia ceramic bezel, which offers an exceptional glossy surface finish in blue. This material not only adds a touch of elegance but also ensures superior durability, providing scratch-resistance and immunity to fading, corrosion, and UV exposure.
In a significant contrast to the original system—where a clamp was positioned above the bezel—the new lock mechanism is now fully integrated beneath the bezel. This innovation offers a cleaner aesthetic and a more seamless tactile experience. The bezel is now locked by default, preventing accidental rotation during diving or daily wear. To operate it, simply push down, momentarily disengaging the locking mechanism. It can then be rotated smoothly in either direction; releasing the pressure causes it to lock back into place securely. This delivers a sleeker, modern design without external screws or clamps.

Completing the tool-watch specifications are the screw-down crown embossed with the Yema logo and a robust 200m water resistance.
The high-quality double-domed sapphire crystal, enhanced with an anti-reflective coating, offers superior readability, increased scratch resistance, and a decidedly neo-vintage appearance. The new dial bring a refined, luxurious feel to the collection. The white glossy lacquer dial variant, featuring a matte finish on its surfaces, provides a bold, modern contrast against the black IP-treated hands and markers, resulting in understated elegance. For maximum legibility in the dark, the hour markers, hands, and the bezel pip are all nicely coated with Grade A SuperLumiNova. The date window is cleanly positioned at 6 o'clock, creating balance and symmetry that reinforces the clean, modern design.

Calibre manufacture Morteau 10
This new-generation Superman is supercharged with the latest version of our proprietary movement, the Manufacture caliber CMM.10. The designation "CMM" stands for Calibre Manufacture Morteau, signifying that the movement was developed entirely in-house by Yema. While the regulating organs are manufactured in Switzerland, the mainplate and bridges are produced in Yema's own Morteau workshops. This manual-wind movement is technically robust, featuring 27 jewels, a frequency of , and an extended 70-hour power reserve. Further ensuring reliability, the Nivaflex® barrel spring alloys are utilized for their excellent mechanical properties, superior corrosion resistance, non-magnetic behavior, and very low coefficient of thermal expansion.
The iconic 1960s Yema Scales bracelet, with its 20mm lug width, has been streamlined for modern comfort. It now tapers gracefully to 4mm at the buckle, adapting naturally to the wearer's wrist, and its fully brushed finish provides elegant visual continuity with the steel case.
