Mido Watches has a century their own in producing many if not, all their Swiss-made watches with dexterity and prowess. All of their timepieces, even until today, unveil such essential traits without merely putting out their brand name without many credentials. Skilled watchmaking can be seen from the production of artisanal enameled dials ladies timingepieces to the auction-worthy Bughatti's "egg-shaped grill" watches since 1925. Another great strength of Mido derives from their pioneering of durable tool watches like their Ocean Star Commander, and the Multifort collections since 80 years ago.

| Mido Multifort 8 One Crown Blue - Bracelet Ref. M055.507.11.041.00 |
In the early 1930s was where the great depression hit, the financial crisis did result in the watchmaker's center of activity and headquarters being moved to Biel, resulting in its first centralization. Further, Mido forcefully changed its segment to more practical and timeless watches with protection and excellent craftsmanship their most important. Therefore, in 1934, when the whole centralized team worked on this particular path, the Multifort is born with its distinct characteristics that later benchmarked its reputation: being impervious to water, dust, and rust, shock-resistant and antimagnetic. This is the first time Mido combines the four aspects that made them successful, especially their water-resistant system later known as "aquadura" in 1959.
Today, Mido reinvents this legacy through the concept of TECHNOMETRY, adding a modern, industrial dimension to the Multifort line. This evolution began with the revival of the iconic Two Crown series, blending vintage spirit with cutting-edge execution. Following that success, Mido now unveils a more dynamic version: the Multifort 8 One Crown. Perfectly aligned with the philosophy, these pieces honor the 1930s origins of the Multifort while delivering the high-performance precision required for 2026.

Octagonal shaped bezel |
In 2026, the Mido Multifort 8 One Crown effortlessly captures the essence of timeless style and modern sophistication. With a sleek 40.0mm diameter, a 44.8mm lug-to-lug, and a slim 10.2mm profile, the stainless steel case is finished with a masterful blend of satin-brush and mirror polishing, catching the light at every angle. The bold, octagonal-shaped fixed bezel—one of the series' signature elements—shares a similar finishing, with the surface brushed and the edges polished to a glossy shine. This creates a striking contrast that adds an athletic yet refined edge, intensifying its sporty allure. This latest iteration of the Multifort seamlessly blends heritage with innovative design, offering a perfectly balanced, wearable size that hugs the wrist with undeniable presence and charisma.
Echoing the watch's angular architecture, the screw-down crown features an eight-sided geometry that integrates seamlessly into the case flank. This design choice isn't just for visual cohesion; it reinforces the piece's structural integrity, securing a 100m water resistance rating.

Beneath the flat sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating, the Multifort 8 One Crown exudes a strikingly solid presence. The blue dial features a horizontal relief-stamped texture that creates a dynamic play of light while enhancing its architectural depth. The faceted hour markers are meticulously applied to the dial surface, mirroring the tri-faceted profile of the minute and hour hands. Every element is generously treated with white SuperLumiNova to ensure exceptional legibility in low-light environments. Complete with a diamond-cut seconds hand and a precision-marked chapter ring, the dial is finished with a practical date display at 3 o'clock for a refined touch to this robust timepiece.
At the heart of the Multifort 8 One Crown beats the Caliber 80, a Swiss powerhouse equipped with a Nivachron™ balance spring for superior anti-magnetic and shock resistance. Utilizing 25 jewels and a frequency of 21,600 vph, this movement is optimized for a formidable 80-hour power reserve to ensure three full days of autonomy. Its mechanical soul is revealed through a sapphire exhibition caseback featuring an oscillating weight decorated with traditional Côtes de Genève as a perfect marriage of 1930s resilience and modern Technometry.
