Drawing on decades of expertise in crafting professional dive instruments, the Matic-S strikes a refined balance between technical performance, modern versatility, and contemporary aesthetics. True to Squale's enduring philosophy, it delivers uncompromising robustness while embracing a timeless sense of elegance.

Faithful to Squale's uncompromising diving heritage, the Matic-S reimagines the signature strength of the Matic line in a slimmer, more versatile form. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case showcases a harmonious mix of symmetrical brushing and polished accents. Its dimensions have been thoughtfully refined, with the diameter reduced from 44mm to a wearable 37.8mm, paired with a 47mm lug-to-lug length and a thickness of 13.2mm—bringing professional-grade performance into a compact profile.

For enhanced symmetry and a cleaner aesthetic, the screw-down crown now sits at 3 o'clock, while the solid screw-in caseback secures an impressive 600 meters of water resistance, affirming its status as a true professional dive instrument. Completing the look is a unidirectional steel bezel insert, with markers generously coated in Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility in all conditions.

The 37.8mm case balances function and everyday wear.

Topping the Matic-S is a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, offering a crystal-clear view of the dial from every angle. Its light blue sunray finish shimmers softly, evoking the calm yet ever-changing hues of the ocean. The hour markers have been thoughtfully updated for sharper legibility, while subtle orange accents along the inner rehaut minute track and outlining the minute hand add a sporty, dynamic touch. Super-LumiNova is generously applied to the hands and indices for exceptional readability in any light, complemented by a date window at 3 o'clock for practical everyday use. Completing the dial's modern evolution is the new Matic-S logo, a mark of Squale's unwavering dedication to precision, functionality, and timeless design.

Squale also introduced a new HydroLeather strap, an elegant innovation that combines durable rubber with water-repellent leather inlays, offering both comfort and style while maintaining the watch's resilience for everyday wear and underwater adventures. 

Super-LumiNova glows in the dark

At the heart of the Matic-S beats the Sellita SW200-1 Elaboré Grade automatic movement, a workhorse renowned for its reliability and precision. Equipped with 26 jewels and running at a frequency of 28,800 bph (4Hz), it delivers smooth, consistent timekeeping, while its 42-hour power reserve ensures the watch remains ready for any adventure. This robust movement perfectly complements the Matic-S's professional dive credentials, combining mechanical excellence with everyday practicality.
