Japan is celebrated for many things, with technological innovation being one of its most recognized strengths. In watchmaking, Japanese brands are renowned for blending advanced technologies with meticulous craftsmanship, standing as true rivals to their Swiss counterparts. Since 1950, Orient has been at the forefront of this tradition, producing in-house mechanical movements and timepieces of exceptional quality that deliver outstanding value. Today, Orient continues to play a significant role in the watch industry, offering refined watches at accessible price points. Distinguished by beautifully finished movements and elegant designs, the brand's creations are organized into four main collections: Classic, Revival, Sports, and Contemporary, each with its own unique character and design language.

| Orient Mechanical Contemporary Stretto Date Gradient Blue - Ltd Ed Ref. RA-AC0R09L |
Today, we are excited to introduce the latest additions to the Orient Stretto collection. The name "Stretto" is borrowed from the world of music, signifying a quickening of tempo that builds toward a climax—a fitting tribute to Orient's 75-year legacy of watchmaking excellence. Inspired by the celebrated Semi Skeleton models, the Stretto series introduces a fresh design theme that captures the dynamic energy of the urban landscape. Joining the collection is the Orient Mechanical Contemporary Stretto Date Gradient Blue Limited Edition, a timepiece that harmonises heritage with a modern, metropolitan spirit.
The newly refined 38.5mm case strikes the perfect balance between presence and wearability, measuring 45.5mm lug to lug with a slim 11.2mm profile that rests comfortably on the wrist. Its versatile proportions make it an ideal unisex size, appealing to both men and women who appreciate a sporty yet refined timepiece. Crafted from stainless steel with a tasteful mix of brushed surfaces and polished accents, the case embodies timeless sportiness and everyday versatility, while the mirror-polished reverse-R surface on the lugs adds a distinctive shine. Practicality is assured with a push-pull crown positioned at 3 o'clock and water resistance rated to 50m, making it a reliable companion for daily wear.

| Gradient blue dial with polished indices |
The Orient Mechanical Contemporary Stretto Date Gradient Blue embraces a clean, purposeful layout, featuring a balanced date window at 3 o'clock and a central seconds hand. Its sapphire crystal protects the main highlight—a commemorative gradient blue dial layered with a stamped stripe pattern that creates a rhythmic sense of depth. Here, wedge-shaped indices rise like towering skyscrapers above concentric circles that echo the sweeping curves of modern architecture. The iconic Orient logo at 12 o'clock provides a steadying anchor to the design, while luminescent-coated hands ensure effortless visibility from the bright city lights to the shadows of the night.
Powering this timepiece is Orient's reliable automatic F6722 movement, equipped with 22 jewels and running at a beat rate of 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hz. It provides a power reserve of over 40 hours, ensuring dependable performance throughout the day. The screw-down case back not only enhances durability and water resistance but also offers a view of the mechanical movement through its see-through design.

This piece comes with a 20mm stainless steel bracelet featuring a simple three-row design with an H-link appearance. The bracelet is predominantly satin-brushed, with the center of each middle link polished to create a subtle contrast. It is secured with a folding clasp for comfortable and reliable wear.
The new Mechanical Contemporary Stretto Date Gradient Blue is a standout limited edition of only 2,300 pieces that captures the vibrant essence of the season. Far more than a timepiece, this limited release is a modern celebration of design and history, blending urban sophistication with the rarity of a seasonal commemorative model. Its striking gradient blue dial—slowly shifting in colour—paired with intricate architectural details makes it a true collector's piece, offering a level of exclusivity that is ready to shine on every occasion.
