The Ball Trainmaster collection is the classy watch collection from Ball. Unlike the other collections, they are meant both for the meeting rooms and casual. The Ball Trainmaster is powered by the Ball RR1102 automatic movement, which is based on an ETA 2836-2. Ball puts an emphasis on accuracy under adverse conditions. So while they are from the dress collection they are made to be tough withstanding.

The Trainmaster Roman White Ref. NM1058D-L4J-WH has a unique case design. The multi-layered case with multiple finishing of polished and satin brushed gives the watch a sense of quality. Measuring 41mm, the stainless steel case with a unique downward curving lugs helps in wearing comfort. To top it up, the Trainmaster uses a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment for added toughness and clarity.

The screwdown crown at 3 is engraved with Ball's “RR” logo. Making this a good 50m water resistant, good enough for everyday wear.

The Trainmaster Roman has a simple and classic dial that speaks class. The white dial is a more towards an off-white for that extra characteristics. On the outer track are the roman numerals which has a circular graining that runs through the height of it. At the tip of the roman indexes are each with an embedded tritium tube.

One of the unique aspects of the Ball watches are their use of tritium gas tubes. The tubes have tritium gas inside which is radioactive, emitting electrons which react with a phosphor layer that coats the inside of the tube. The result is a constant emission of light. No more charging them by external light sources like conventional SuperLuminova. The Ball Trainmaster uses 15 X T-25 tubes, one per hour marker and one per hand. Hours 1 – 11 and hands all glow green, while 12 is in orange/red for easy identification in the dark.
