|Steinhart Ocean 1 Vintage Chronograph Steel Plexi|
Today, we would welcome a new collaboration that we did with Steinhart that is coherent to our past launches together. Like the Ocean Vintage Explorer 39 Plexi, Ocean Vintage GMT Plexi, you get where this is going... And now, we have taken their Ocean Vintage Chronograph and giving it the “Gnomon” treatment again. Behold, the Ocean Vintage Chronograph Steel Plexi. Since the newer Ocean One Vintage DLC black-out versions is more personalized with an edgier style, our Ocean Vintage Chrono Steel Plexi is on the opposite of the spectrum - traditional, true-to-yesteryears and classic.
The traditional take on the new Steinhart Ocean One Vintage Chronograph Steel Plexi gets the vintage treatment; by having a full steel tachymeter bezel and plexiglass for this retro-vintage chronograph.
The case and bracelet are made from 316L stainless steel. With its partial polished, partial satin-finished finishing, the watch radiates the irresistible flair of the wild 60s.

One of the most striking feature of the STEINHART Ocean One Vintage Chronograph Steel Plexi is probably the use of plexiglass. The Chrono Steel goes the vintage path by having a new boxed domed hesalite crystal. Now, it gives the watch that desirable vintage warmth and feel, giving the Panda-theme dial more "pop" as it sits closer to the crystal. Lastly, the hesalite crystal trims down the height of the whole watch, wearing at only 16.8mm, resulting in a more wearable experience.
The tri-color dial is the staple charm of the Ocean Vintage Chronograph collection. In watch terms, we call vintage-inspired dial a “tropical” one. It is further tweaked by STEINHART to a more contemporary form, playing on a different inspiration. The main dial is finished with vertical brushings in silver metallic with contrasting matte black subdials that are snailed creating a sense of depth. The outer ring enriched with elegant, red accents.

Framed in this breathtaking sight by a traditional steel inlay with tachymeter scale, which used in conjunction with the chronograph complication, completes the full classic sports chronograph-in-the-60s theme.
The Steinhart Ocean One Vintage Chronograph Steel Plexi powered by the Dubois Dépraz DD 2020, a Swiss automatic movement which based on the decorated ETA 2824-2 TOP with its gilded Steinhart rotor, which can all be admired through the sapphire crystal window in the screw-down case back. Also screwed down is the large, well gripping crown with its discreet red accent as well as the two pushers, which allows for water resistance of up to 10 ATM.
