Ocean 1 GMT Black DLC

STEINHART has done it again with a more personalized approach to their timepieces. Since the Ocean One Black DLC and the newer Ocean One Vintage DLC blacked-out versions, making their iconic watches more personalized and with an edgier style.

Steinhart Ocean 1 GMT Black DLC

The all-black take on the new STEINHART Ocean One GMT Black DLC gets this latest treatment; by having a full black-out theme with modern GMT timepiece executions.

The GMT Black DLC is an addition to the popular Ocean 1 collection. It will be made in limited production.

The case and bracelet are treated to multi-finishing of satin and high polished. covered in full black; made from 316L stainless steel which is micro-blasted for a non-shiny finish and then DLC(diamond-like carbon) treated. The blackened crown further enhance the overall stealth looks.

Black Ceramic Bezel

The bezel on the Ocean is where it all matters. The Ocean One GMT Black DLC  has a ceramic bezel insert for added scratch resistance. The new ceramic bezel has numbers and markers that are all engraved and filled with SuperLuminova BGW9. The knurling on the side of the DLC bezel is deep and clean. This helps in getting a good grip on the bezel for easy bezel operation. The 120 clicks bezel clicks positively into position.

The dial on the GMT Black DLC  is what sets it apart from the rest in the same realm. Apart from the usual application of white gilded hour markers. the black dial gets a unique “diamond” shaped main hour hand with a full red GMT hand with a triangle tip. To balance off the unique hour hand, Steinhart has placed another miniature “diamond” shaped luminous on its second hand’s tip/ SuperLuminova luminous is applied to the markers, minute, hour, second and GMT hands.

All the texts and logo are done in matching white tone, except the matching red “ Ocean GMT” wording at 6 o’clock. The full-black nature of the GMT Black DLC gets a tactical and sleek interpretation of the Ocean One design, pushing the watch into undiscovered territory.

Swiss Made. Super-luminova BWG9

Seen through its stainless steel opened case-back lies a GMT engine for a true GMT watch from Steinhart. Made in Switzerland and powered by a Swiss Made Sellita SW330 Elaboré automatic movement, this watch is set to amaze. Three timezones can be tracked on this watch with the help of the GMT hand and GMT Bezel. In addition, the rotor for the first time gets a matching DLC black treatment to keep the blackout theme.
