STEINHART has done it again with a more personalized approach to their timepieces. Since the Ocean One Black DLC and the newer Ocean One Vintage DLC black-out versions, making their iconic watches more personalized and with an edgier style.
|Steinhart Ocean 1 Black DLC MOP|
The all-black take on the new STEINHART Ocean 1 Black DLC MOP gets this latest treatment; by having a full matte black-out theme.
The case and bracelet are treated to matte black; made from 316L stainless steel which is micro-blasted for a non-shiny finish and then DLC(diamond-like carbon) treated. The blackened crown further enhance the overall stealth looks.
|Black ceramic 3D bezel|
The bezel on the Ocean is where it all matters and a first we have ever seen. The Ocean 1 Black DLC MOP has a unique 3D ceramic bezel. What this means is that the numbers and markers are protruding while the background is recessed. When you run your fingers over it, you can actually feel the depth! With a luminous pip at the 12 o'clock position. The knurling on the side of the bezel is deep and clean. This helps in getting a good grip on the bezel for easy bezel operation. The 120 clicks bezel clicks positively into position.
The dial on the Ocean DLC is a matching black with applied markers. The dial is made from mother-of-pearl and is beautiful. SuperLuminova luminous is applied to the markers, minute, hour and second hands.
The Steinhart Ocean 1 Black DLC MOP is powered by ETA's automatic caliber, ETA 2824-2/SW 200, élaboré, operating at 28,800 BPH (4 Hertz) with hacking and hand winding capabilities. It has 25 jewels with a power reserve of 42 hours. And of Elaboré grade.
In summary, the look of this Ocean 1 Black DLC MOP with its all-black stainless steel case and black mother of pearl dial gives it a mysterious looks. A welcome addition that sets it apart from the other Ocean collection. The sporty yet dark charm of this watch will be difficult to resist.
