A brand embodying the finesse of exquisite French-made timepieces as well as a rich pedigree since its founding in 1948, YEMA has showcased outstanding flair in watchmaking by incorporating innovative designs into their durable watches.
In 2020, YEMA launched the 1970s-inspired LED with its strikingly-cut case. Today in 2022, we will introduce a collaboration with French electronic musician Kavinsky and YEMA in the form of the YEMA LED BlackvLimited Edition watch.
|Yema LED Kavinsky Black - Ltd Ed 3333pcs
The 2022 Kavinsky with solid dimensions of 42mm x 35.5mm has exactly the same case as the 2020 watch. Made up of 316L stainless steel, the octogonal case complex geometry flaunts every single angle with an alternating set of elegant brushed-polished finishes. This caseback displays KAVINSKY and YEMA logos as well as mentions the LIMITED EDITION ONE OF 3333 characteristic of the timepiece.
Moreover, this 2022 version sports two sets of seven long, shallow grooves on the front face as well as an edgy twist on the lugs. The grooves lend credence to the watch’s vintage feel and make it more vibrant. Adding to the adventurous side of the watch is the 50 meters water resistance function that the watch boasts.
YEMA's LED display watch
The mysterious matte black-finished version fits perfectly well with the LED display. On the face of the YEMA LED lies a rectangular red-tinted mineral crystal that stretches horizontally from one end to another, shielding the LED display behind it. You may find it very fascinating to push the red “Hanhart-style” side button to illuminate the LED display. This is because the LED display remains in standby mode for better power efficiency and is only activated when you take delight in pushing the side button to light the display up. A second press is needed to reveal the date and a third press would display the elapsed seconds. The time and format can simply be altered with the button on the 4 o’clock position, making this watch both functional and operational. YEMA says that the button cell used is the equivalent of the 2020 model and that the final production models should look exactly like the 2020 one too.
Stylist case with a retro vibe
In contrast to the thick 2020 bracelet, the 2022 bracelet is more flexible and lightweight. Specially designed for the 2022 model, the adjustable Kavinsky clasp of the bracelets works seamlessly and accurately to suit all wrists. The integrated 316L stainless steel bracelet is bedecked by a uniquely brushed finishing for a layer of class and sophistication.
Soak in the nostalgic atmosphere of the 70s as you put the YEMA LED Black timepiece on. This watch is a great candidate if you are into retro-futuristic designs. Certainly, for the price point, YEMA also hits a home run with this timepiece.
