1976 Mido launched its first Baroncelli model 40 years or so ago. Mido presented a new collection which perpetuates the spirit of the line. The line consists of purely classical interpretation, inspired by the sublime and timeless aesthetic of stringed instruments. Today, we take a look at the Mido Baroncelli Midnight Blue Ref. M8600.4.15.1. The Baroncelli collection launched in tribute of their own 40 years of product line with Mido, and it's a very straightforward piece of watchmaking.

The Baroncelli Midnight Blue design elements have been influenced by the architecture of the Rennes Opera House in France, unveiled in 1836, since then, it boasts harmonious and elegant architecture, with outstanding interior decoration. The Baroncelli reflects this elegance and grandeur of the 18th-century architecture that the Opera House beholds.

Let's dive into the dimensions of this Mido, available in stainless steel case measuring at 38mm wide and 37mm from lugs to lugs, totally a perfect fitting and proportion even for the slimmest wrist. The Baroncelli nails best would be its thickness. At 9.1mm in height, keeping its thin and elegance for anyone to strap on and out for corporate meetings and dinner dates at your favorite restaurants. The case is sophisticated from the top; for an instant, the thin bezel creates more dial and old-school dress watch look. The Caliber 80 is the latest generation automatic watch movement — the caliber 80 of MIDO based on the ETA C07.611 with a full 80-hour power reserve. The Caliber 80 is considered in-house as MIDO is part of the Swatch group family, and the modified ETA CO7.611 features a Nivachoc spring with its frequency reduced to 21,600 Hz for and an improved mainspring capacity. The caliber 80 inside the Baroncelli makes it so value-driven as it hoods one of the highest-quality movements today at an exceptional price point.
