The Seiko Prospex Land Automatic Green Ref. SRPC33J1 is part of the Prospex Land collection. And one of the very interesting models from Seiko that drew its inspiration from different Seiko models.
Prospex for Seiko basically means "Professional Specification" that their timepieces in this category are built with very high standards to be used by professionals. By Prospex Land, Seiko probably meant it to be worn by adventurer and explorers. The design is inspired by the legendary "Spork" and Alpinist SARB017. The Prospex Land collection we have here are MADE IN JAPAN, denoted by the "J" in the reference number and the "MADE IN JAPAN" at 6 on the dial.

Powered by Seiko's automatic caliber, 4R35, operating at 21,600 BPH (3 Hertzs) with hacking and hand winding capabilities. It has 23 jewels with a power reserve of 41 hours.
The 100m water resistant stainless steel case measure 42mm case without the crown, 49.8mm lug to lug and a thickness of 12.5mm. We particularly like the masculine case design. The angular lugs allows the watch to wrap around the wrist on all wrist sizes, big or small. Another unique feature of the Prospex Land collection is of course the internal rotating bezel which doubles up as a compass for the mountain climbers which the watch was intended for and is operated by rotating the second crown at 4 o’clock. The case is also coated with a Seiko's black super-hard coating to give it a black toned down looks. Sitting atop of the bezel is Seiko's Hardlex.
|Beautiful sunburst dial. Made in Japan.|
Next, the dial. The most prominent being the dark green sunburst dial. The green appears black under certain lighting. The indices are highly inspired by the legendary Seiko "Spork" diver. The hour markers and hands are both generously coated with Seiko's LumiBrite allowing it to glow brightly in the dark for hours.
The Prospex Land Automatic Green Ref. SRPC33J1 comes with a dark green canvas strap with leather backing for added comfort.
