Condition:
This particular example was found in NOS condition. With no ding or pitting on the case it looks as good as new. Minor scratches inherited from storage and handling is evident on the crystal which can only be seen from an angle. It has a very clean caseback. With no strap mark, it shows that the watch has never been worn before. Straight, fixed lug still intact. Nice looking Hamilton "H" can be found on the crown.Comes in a thicker case than when compared to 46374 specification watches. With no cracking or flaking of the luminous on the hands. The luminous aged quite evenly throughout. These watches were found in an old stock house. Never worn or used. Boxes were thrown for easy storage.
History behind the watch:
Issued to selected USAF individuals in 1987. These watches resembles the 46374 specification but with a couple ofdifferences. The H3 and radiation logo were left out from thedial to make it more legible. Legibility is critical for pilots sitting inside a cockpit filled with tons of gauges and dials. Watches comes with a highly reliable 17Jewel hacking ETA manual wind movement. These watches were built with accuracy in mind. Accuracy is very important for the pilots
who are on missions.
