Condition:
Condition is as good as when they were issued back in 1973.It has NO ding, pitting, scratches on the one piece case. Some light scratches is evident on the crystal but can only be seen from an angle but does not distract when looked from the front. Absolutely no strap mark on the case back. Straight, fixed lug intact. With no cracking or flaking of the luminous on the hands. These watches were found in an old stock house. Never worn or used. Boxes were thrown for easy storage. These watches are very rare in this condition. And quantity is extremely limited.
History behind the watch:
The first stainless steel case watch added to the 46374 specification. This was added on 10 September 1968. There were 2 variants of MIL-W-46374A issued. Both were made by Hamilton. One issued to the RAA and the other to the USF. Both similar in appearance. The one being sold above is issued to the USF. The main difference between the two is that the RAA version has a 2 piece case similar to the later issues while the USF version has a 1 piece case.
