The latest revelation to grace the ranks of the professional dive watch series is the Swiss made 1000metres water resistant limited edition Dievas Classico. Derived from the word Classic which means to illustrate enduring high quality and fundamental traditions, the company went in pursuit of the demands of horology enthusiasts and design a special dive watch that evokes reminisces from the past as well as emphasizes on the Dievas theme of bold and distinct cues, allowing her to admirably stand out from the dive watch crowd.
Pledging from the pedigree of the original Aqualuna, the Dievas (D-Ah-Vas) Classico utilizes the custom made 3-piece CNC watch case, machined from premium grade 316L stainless steel, measuring 44mm across (excluding the crown) and 18mm thick. Each case is meticulously finished by hand attaining a impeccable finishing. In line with her predecessor, the Classico has options for a non-reflective surface PVD black finish for those who require a stealthy under-the-radar looks. A 120-click, tight, positive click action uni-directional bezel tops off the main case, complete with ‘diamond-studded’ notches all round. Diver’s time elapse markings are meticulously engraved on the surface of the bezel coupled with a luminous pip at 60 minute for below depth timing duties. Grade A 5.5mm thick sapphire crystals with military anti-reflective coating seals the surface of the case. Quality of the crystals is evidently demonstrated by its abundance in clarity and robust scratch proof capabilities. The implementation of the watch dial itself took a substantial segment during the initial design phase. A variety of watch dials up to 20 different patterns, colors and finishes was trial-ed. By incorporating feedback from professional divers and highly regarded watch enthusiasts from around the world, we finally decided on a new innovative dial arrangement done one of our new young aspiring in-house designer. Electric blue is the driving focus of Dievas Classico, on a mission to attract maximum aesthetic effectiveness. When paired up with the new Dievas vintage hands (steel bushed hands made of the highest quality possible), it compliments the modernistic dial design by giving it that classy rustic edge. All hands and dials are lumed using Swiss Superluminova, having that lasting glow needed for use by divers for deep sea expeditions.
Each watch comes on a custom made solid-link 316L stainless steel bracelets as well as a second sports strap with blue accents. Every caseback is painstakingly finished with deep 3D, a marvel to behold in itself. The Dievas Classico is a very limited watch.
